University Tutorial Services
Tutoring is available to all currently enrolled Fresno State students.
Drop-in tutoring is available in many subject areas. Frequently requested subjects include mathematics, statistics, physics, accounting, foreign languages, computer science, chemistry, biology, plus many more.
Writing tutors are available to work with you on writing assignments from any academic discipline.
Our English as a second language writing tutors are particularly helpful with writing assignments if your primary language is not English.
General Education tutors will assist you with a variety of academic questions and problems in most lower division courses. They can also assist you in understanding class assignments and developing independent learning techniques.
Center staff can assist you in forming weekly study groups of three or more students in challenging classes.
Tutors are recommended by faculty and are required to complete a certified tutor training program. Continuing professional development is provided and expected. The LRC offers national tutor certification at three levels through the College Reading and Learning Association.
Evening tutoring is available on a per semester basis as needed. Call or visit our Web page for tutoring times, workshop schedules, applications, and updated information on events in the Center.
