Program Overview. The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)
at California State University, Fresno provides retention services to university
students from migrant and seasonal farmworker families. CAMP works with
campus student services, faculty, and community-based agencies to improve
educational opportunities for CAMP students.
CAMP is for you if you are an entering freshman at California State University,
Fresno and have a migrant or seasonal farmworker background. As a retention
service program, CAMP is committed to helping you stay in school. Our staff
will help you explore your academic and career choices and make sure that
you have the information you need to make informed decisions.
Members of the CAMP staff are trained professionals in various areas including
academic advising, counseling, career development, and language skills development.
They will gladly take a personal interest in helping you adjust to the university
environment.
