Communications Specialist

Brandi campbellBrandie Campbell joined the Central California Regional Obesity Prevention Program (CCROPP) in June 2008.  In her day-to-day role, she provides a range of communications support for both regional and local CCROPP partners.  She is responsible for initiating, planning, coordinating and evaluating activities that support communications, public and media relations for CCROPP.  

The Central California Regional Obesity Prevention Program is a program dedicated to creating healthier environments that support healthy eating and active living.  The program is facilitated by California State University, Fresno and brings together eight public health departments, community-based organizations and community councils to address environmental and policy challenges to obesity.  

At California State University, Fresno, Campbell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Print Journalism and her Masters degree in Health Policy and Management.  She has over seven years of experience in generating media coverage for a variety of health and human service programs.  In her previous role, she served as the Communications Specialist for the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Fresno handling health and human services issues for nine departments, three centers and a variety of special projects and programs.
