Partnership for the Public's Health
Partnership for the Public's Health's principal work has been to forge effective partnerships among communities, public health departments and other private and public entities and to help build their capacity to make environmental and institutional change happen in communities where health inequities are prevalent.
Partnership for the Public's Health (PPH) was established in 1999 by the Public Health Institute with funding from The California Endowment (TCE). PPH is now a dynamic organization that has honed its skills across two multimillion dollar TCE initiatives during the past nine years, encompassing 43 communities and 16 public health jurisdictions throughout the state of California. The Central California Regional Obesity Program is one of several initiatives that was funded by the California Endowment and receives technical support from the Partnership for the Public's Health.
