Central California Public Health Partnership

The Central California Public Health Partnership (Public Health Partnership) is a regional partnership that came together to serve the public health needs of residents in the San Joaquin Valley. The San Joaquin Valley counties share common concerns such as a predominately rural and agricultural base, a rapidly growing and highly diverse population, serious health needs and limited public health resources.

Over the years, the Public Health Partnership has developed initiatives and interventions dedicated to creating healthier communities throughout the region.  One of the most recent programs is the Central California Regional Obesity Prevention Program (CCROPP), a program which aims to address obesity prevention through place-September 24, 2009ving.

Members of the partnership include the Dean of the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Fresno and the directors of the public health departments in Fresno, Madera, Merced, Kern, Kings, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tulare counties.
