On a daily basis, members of the campus community receive inquiries
regarding student records related to their attendance, grades,
address, behavior, etc. As keepers of these records, we are mandated
by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) at the
federal level and by the California Information Practices Act (IPA)
at the State level, to protect personal information on students. This
workshop is intended to provide members of the campus community with
basic information on what student information can and cannot be
communicated to others.
