About our Programs
To meet the growing demand for continuing education, the Division of Continuing and Global Education offers a variety of courses in the California State University, Fresno service area. The service area covers Fresno, Madera, and Kings Counties, and northern parts of Tulare County. The financially self-supporting Division of Continuing and Global Education offers courses in all disciplines. To provide flexibility and to better serve the needs of the entire community, regular college courses are offered for credit, as well as other programs for non-credit. In addition, conferences, training seminars, workshops and certification programs may be developed. A class may be organized at any time, anywhere in the service area, provided sufficient enrollment is indicated and a qualified instructor is available. Courses and instructors must have prior approval from the department in which each course is to be offered.
Persons interested in arranging, offering or promoting a continuing education course should contact the Division of Continuing and Global Education.
All programs are administered by the Associate Vice President of the Division of Continuing and Global Education in accordance with admission and academic policies of California State University, Fresno and the Trustees of the California State University. In addition to organizing and offering Extension classes throughout its service area, the University offers assistance to school systems and other professional and lay groups in planning and organizing conferences, workshops and institutes.
The size of groups involved in such activities is not a factor if the conference or workshop is offered at the expense of an agency other than California State University, Fresno. If credit is involved, a minimum contract fee is charged each student to reimburse the University for costs of registration. If no credit is involved, special financial arrangements may be made by the University and the sponsoring group. Inquiries should be made to the Associate Vice President of the Division of Continuing and Global Education.
