Procedures and Resources
Summer Session faculty procedures and resources can be found below.
Blackboard shells are created automatically as classes are set up in PeopleSoft. Contact the Blackboard Resource Center at 559.278.7373 or email email@example.com if you have any questions with setup.
If you are experiencing issues during class meeting dates and/or require immediate assistance, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and copy email@example.com with a brief description of your issue. You can obtain after hours assistance by submitting a ticket to the Help Desk at https://help.fresnostate.edu or calling at 559.278.5000. After hours support is limited to assistance and user access, but not changes to Blackboard.
Classroom Access (Keys)
Most of the classrooms on campus will be unlocked by the University Police department if a class is scheduled. Rooms with specialized equipment, such as computer or science labs, may have different unlocking requirements. Please also note that rooms in the Peters Business Building are not unlocked by University Police. Please take note of your room assignment in the MyFresnoState Faculty Center and contact your department office at least six weeks prior to the start of your class to request a key, if needed.
Per campus policy, course evaluations are handled by the department offices. Please contact your department office for more information.
Please submit all class grades through your MyFresnoState portal within 5 business days of the class end date. Contact the Summer Session Coordinator if you are having trouble accessing your grade book.
Continuing and Global Education will automatically generate 10 permission numbers for each class, which can be found in your Faculty Center for the class. You may request that an entire class be restricted with permission numbers on the course proposal form.
Permission numbers are valid until online enrollment is closed for your class. Contact the Summer Session Coordinator if you have any questions or want to request more permission numbers.
Textbooks for Summer Session may be ordered from the Kennel Bookstore. The deadline is April 16, 2018. Contact the bookstore at 559.278.4062 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
