Coordinator of International Initiatives and Special Projects
Cynthia manages the faculty-led short term international travel studies in addition
to coordinating other internationally—related events. She also designs educational
seminars for groups of visiting international delegates and provides opportunities
for foreign visitors to participate in specialized tours of the Fresno State campus.
Ms. Trent loves international travel and has been fortunate to have visited much of
western Europe, the Caribbean and North America, in addition to living two years in
Nigeria. She spent a summer in France on a faculty-led travel study while pursuing
her undergraduate degree in French. Cynthia believes, “International travel can open
one’s mind to other cultures and ways of thinking and living, leading to more tolerant
and positive attitudes toward people who are different from us. Once you have spent
time in another country, you will never be the same!
