Dr. Marhenke is a Chemistry Professor at California State University, Fresno. Dr. Marhenke earned his PhD degree from Purdue University, conducting research on the chemistry of sultones and natural product synthesis under the direction of Dr. Joseph Wolinsky.

Areas of Specialty

Dr. Marhenke teaches undergraduate lecture and laboratory classes in organic chemistry, including Chemistry 8, 128A/B, 129A/B as well as the graduate level Advanced Organic Chemistry. His research students have explored large-scale synthesis of pheromones, mass spectral fragmentation mechanisms and small molecule drug candidate synthesis.
