About the Department of Nursing
The Nursing Department is part of the College of Health and Human Services. The department chair is Michael Russler. We are located in McLane Hall, Room 190. During the academic year, the office is open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm closing from 12:00 - 1:00 pm for lunch.
We currently offer a B.S. in Nursing. We also offer an M.S. in Nursing with the following two options: Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Educator or Primary Care/Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, we have a program for a School Nurse Services Credential.
A wide variety of clinical placements are available for undergraduate students. Placement facilities include Community Hospitals of Central California, St. Agnes Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Central California, Veteran's Administration Medical Center, University Medical Center, Armenian Home, San Joaquin Gardens, the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, and the health departments from Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare counties.
