This unique graduate program will offer non-nurses the opportunity to enter the nursing field with a Master's of Science in Nursing. The California State University Chancellor's Office is funding this offering to enable students who have a baccalaureate degree in a field other than nursing to complete the required nursing courses and be eligible to become a nurse educator. Students will be able to take the registered nurse (RN) licensure examination after 18 months of study and will graduate with a Master's of Science in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist/ Nurse Educator in May 2012. This intensive graduate program will require a full-time commitment from all accepted students. Courses will be scheduled during the summer; in the evenings and on weekends. Clinical rotations will include rural health care settings, and students from rural areas and diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Your participation in this program will represent a commitment on your part to complete the RN curriculum and the subsequent master's program as a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Educator.

Please note that the program has already begun and applications are not being accepted.

Please note that this program does not prepare students for the BSN.
