Gerontology Association
This student lead organization provides students with the opportunity to meet once a month and discuss various aspects of gerontology. Students are encouraged to be involved in professional organizations such as the American Society on Aging, and with members of the aging network in the Fresno area. Students with a minor in gerontology are encouraged to join this association. Please see Dr. Miltiades for more information if you are interested in joining.
Students involved in this organization are given leadership opportunities and work to improve the lives of older adults in the community. They organize a yearly symposium on aging issues that includes community agencies and community dwelling older adults. This year's symposium will be held on April 19th, 2006.
