Accreditation

The Department of Recreation Administration at Fresno State is accredited by the Council on Accreditation sponsored by the National Recreation and Park Association. This means that the program has the courses and course content that meet 88 standards determined by professionals to be competencies needed for a career in the recreation and leisure services industry.

Our curriculum is reviewed every five years and each review helps us to update our courses to meet the ever changing needs of the profession. We have been accredited since 1984, which makes us one of the most long standing and well respected programs in the nation.
