As part of your application process to enter professional schools, you will be asked to prepare and submit a personal statement. The personal statement is an important part of your application package and is written in essay form. This essay provides additional evidence of your intellectual and creative achievement. The essay is also the only opportunity for the readers of your application to get a feel for you as a person as well as for you as a student. The essay is also the place where you put your academic record into the context of your opportunities and obstacles.
Writing your personal statement can be one of the most satisfying, or frustrating, writing experiences you'll ever have. HCOP provides participants personal statement workshops to assist our students in this endeavor.
Personal statement one-on-one sessions are available with Don Romsa. To set up a meeting with Don during the Spring 2011 semester please contact him at 224-9051 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
