2nd Annual CVELI Exemplary Practices in Education Conference - Bill Daggett
The Process of Change: Preparing Students for their Future - For Valley Educational Leaders of Grades 6-16

General sessions will highlight Dr. Bill Daggett, former school and college administrator and founder of the International Center for Leadership and Education. He is a nationally renowned expert with proven ability in moving educational systems towards more rigorous and relevant skills and knowledge for all students. Dr. Daggett was recently appointed to the Advisory Committee for the Reauthorization of the Perkins Act.
Attendees will meet in job-alike break out sessions: site administrators, superintendents and district leaders, and higher education leaders. Break out sessions will include:
- Presentations by leaders of exemplary schools, districts and colleges that have demonstrated success in eliminating the achievement gap and graduating students prepared for college and career. Organizations that will be presenting include: Whittier Union High School, Liberty High School, Riverdale Unified, Corcoran Unified, Visalia Unified and Strive Cincinnati, a model cradle to career partnership in the Cincinnati region (which includes University of Cincinnati).
- Discussions focusing on practices of rigor, relevance and relationships as key factors to student success and reduction of drop out rates.
- Conversations with Dr. Daggett about the greatest needs in your school/district/college.
Location: CSUF, Residence Dining Facility
Cost: $125 per attendee (includes meals, materials and book)
