Services
The Department of Risk Management and Sustainability, through its staff, offers a broad variety of services to the entire university community. These services include:
- Risk management – handles all liability related issues on campus
- Environmental management – includes the areas of air pollution, hazardous materials use, hazardous waste disposal, and protection of public health
- Workers compensation – deals with employee injury and claims issues
- Safety – encompasses all employee safety and protection concerns
- Emergency planning – details what the university response will be in the event of various emergency situations
- Business continuity planning – ensures essential functions of the university will continue in the event of a serious and/or continuing emergency
- Sustainability – covers the university's initiatives for recycling, and resource and energy conservation
