OFFICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY, RISK MANAGEMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY
Prompted by the retirement of Assistant Vice President Mr. David Moll, the organizational functions of the department, formerly the Department of Risk Management and Sustainability (DRMS), were reexamined and subsequently reassigned to other senior managers within the Division of Administrative Services.
The following functions will remain within the division reporting to the areas outlined below:
- Environmental health and safety, risk management and sustainability have been transferred to Facilities Management. Ms. Lisa Kao will manage these functions and will directly report to the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, Mr. Robert Boyd.
- Alternative transportation programs will be transferred to the Police Department under Ms. Amy Armstrong, Parking Administrator. Chief David Huerta will oversee Emergency Planning and Business Continuity efforts entirely, a duty previously shared between University Police Department and DRMS.
- Workers Compensation Manager, Ms. Tracey Garza, will now report to the Director of Human Resources, Ms. Jan Parten.
