A Career in Electrical and Computer Engineering
According to a report by the American Electronics Association, a shortage
of electrical and computer engineers is projected for the next several years;
it is anticipated that computer engineering positions will increase more
than any other major profession. New developments are evolving in optical
communications, microelectronics, intelligent controls, computers, radar,
microwave communications, and innovative alternative energy sources at an
explosive pace which should assure a solid growth pattern for electrical
and computer engineers into the foreseeable future.
Co-op Program
The department participates in the Valley Industry Partnership Program which allows students to integrate planned industrial experiences into their academic programs. Students interested in this program should contact the chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the college's co-op coordinator.
