A tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level is available for Fall 2017. Review of applications will begin April 17, 2017 and will continue until the position is filled.

Candidates who demonstrate a broad background in one or more aspects of railway engineering with some expertise in high speed rail infrastructure and/or technologies and who have teaching and/or research/industrial experience in the field are sought.

Required Education:
An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Rail, Systems Engineering, or other closely-related engineering discipline and a BS degree in engineering from an accredited university. Candidates with a MS degree in railway engineering or other closely-related areas and with at least ten years of industry/research experience in rail engineering may also be considered for a non-tenure track academic year faculty position.

Required Experience:
Academic, research or industry expertise in rail engineering is required. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent communication and multi-disciplinary industry interaction skills and a commitment to, or potential for, teaching excellence. The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. 

Preferred Qualifications:  
Professional practice experience in railway industry.
