CR/NC grading only. The Writing Center offers assistance with writing tailored to a student's individual needs. Students work with tutors on all phases of the composing process--from generating ideas, through drafting, revising and editing their writing. The goal is to help students become better writers. Students register for a one-unit tutorial that meets for one hour twice a week. Students do not need to be enrolled in an English course in order to attend. Registration takes place during the first two weeks of the semester in the Education Building, Room 184, (559) 278-0334.

Tutors can be undergraduate and graduate students, normally seeking a degree in English. Students enroll in either English 192 (undergraduate students) or English 290 (graduate students) when accepted as a tutor for training and supervised support.
