Facilities Management is committed to providing students with an inviting atmosphere that promotes development, collaboration, and harmony in which to learn. In addition, we are dedicated to giving excellent service to our staff, faculty, and students through maintaining and expanding our campus. We understand that our campus is more that just buildings threaded together with pathways, it is a diverse community, and we strive to make each visit to the campus an enjoyable experience for the thousands of visitors who come to our campus each year. It is with this in mind that we celebrate 100 years of caring for our campus!
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management and Sustainability (EHS RMS) was transferred to Facilities Management on July 1, 2010. Office of EHS RMS functions are directed by Ms. Lisa Kao. Ms. Kao reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, Mr. Robert Boyd.
Office of EHS RMS functions include:
- Environmental Health (Air, Water, Hazardous waste, Food safety, Public health)
- Occupational and student safety (Industrial hygiene, Lab safety, Radiation safety)
- Risk Management (Risk recognition, control and transfer; Defensive driving program; Special event processing)
- Sustainability (Recycling, Special project coordination)
