Mission


The Forensic Biotechnology Institute of California (FBIC) is a non-profit ancillary unit of the California State University, Fresno, established through the College of Science and Mathematics to further teaching and research in biological science and technology with a particular emphasis on forensics. The FBIC provides technical leadership to the law enforcement and criminal justice communities by applying advancements in biotechnology to the law.

Our founder, Dr. Kevin Miller, is passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise with aspiring scientists across the region, and today we remain committed to these ideals through our support of research, teaching, and community service. Through our initiatives, we continue to push the envelope of science and ensure the best possible service to both our clients and the community... today, and in the years to come.
