As a center for forensic and biotechnological scientific research and support, the Forensic Biotechnology Institute brings experts from public and private sectors together with graduate students to encourage collaborative research projects that aim to improve existing methodologies, develop new technologies, and promote their wide-spread application to the law. Our broad research objective is to support public crime laboratories through the design and testing of technology in order to improve access and, ultimately, build laboratory capacity.
