As a center for forensic and biotechnological scientific research and support, the Forensic Biotechnology Institute of California (FBIC) brings experts from public and private sectors together with graduate students and research associates to encourage collaborative research projects that aim to improve existing methodologies, develop new technologies, and promote their wide-spread application of science to the law. Our broad research objectives include supporting public crime laboratories through the design and testing of technology in order to improve access and, ultimately, build laboratory capacity.
