Violent Crimes Case Review Project

Mission Statement. The mission of the Violent Crimes Case Review Project (VCCRP) is to aid law enforcement in the investigation of unsolved violent crimes, namely homicides, through systematic review and investigation of these crimes throughout California. Through this work, the VCCRP strives to decrease the homicide rate, facilitate the successful closure and prosecution of new cases, identify past investigative and procedural shortcomings, make constructive recommendations, develop new and innovative investigative techniques and approaches, and provide educational and practical experience to the next generation of forensic scientists, law enforcement, and criminal justice personnel.

The Violent Crimes Case Review Project is a community service project sponsored by the Human Identification Research Group.
