Public Education
The Forensic Biotechnology Institute of California (FBIC) helps foster public understanding of science and technology policy and practice, and advocates for adequate funding of Forensic Science and Biotechnology education and research. This is done primarily through public lecture series such as the Central Valley Café Scientifique and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, offered through the California State University, Fresno, Division of Continuing and Global Education Extension Program, as well as hands-on service learning programs like the Violent Crimes Case Review Project (VCCRP).
Please contact the institute if you would like additional information regarding educational programs offered to the general public.
