FolkloreAssembled by Edward Cray, with some help by David Engle, the Folk Ballad Bibliography is a list of seminal, central, reequisite, useful and recondite works concerning folk ballads.
Consisting in the main of Shelf Lists of well-versed folklorists' libraries, the Folk Ballad Bibliography is a sort of "who's who" in ballad works.
Commentaries by Ed Cray and the owners of the libraries so listed enhance
the value of this resource, although usually specific questions cannot be
answered, nor do the participants lend their books to anyone.
