Notes: The first verse of this is a curious twist on Matt. 7:3f.=Luke 6:41f., in which Jesus warns of seeing a mote/speck in a brother's eye but ignores the log/beam in one's own. The story of Jacob wrestling God or an angel and demanding a blessing is in Genesis 32:22-32. - RBW
