Below are various versions of the "1827" The Merry
Muses. This was actually printed originally by Hotten
in 1872 with the numbers transposed. This false
imprint was so that publishers could avoid fines or imprisonment
for publishing what was considered obscene. This "1827"
edition was later reprinted many, many times and you should be
able to pick up a copy on ebay for less than US$100.
