The Erotic Muse is practically the only scholarly book detailing and describing traditional bawdy songs in the English speaking countries.  It gives detailed accounts of the various songs and their history as far as Cray has been able to trace them.  

I have used and reference this book throughout this website.  If you like the contents of Immortalia then you will love this book.

The primary defect in this work is the index which fails to give the variant song titles their listing.
