The Master's Degree Program in Forensic Science is a Professional Science Master's Program, approved by the Council of Graduate Schools. This graduate program steps away from traditional forensic programs by offering an application-based experience that is designed to train students in the applications of the natural and life sciences to our legal system. It specifically provides:
- The background you will need to successfully compete for both entry-level and advanced positions in forensic science,
- Small class sizes and one-on-one interaction with professors who have actual forensic caseworking experience at regional, state, national, and international forensic laboratories and who have research publications in internationally-recognized journals, and
- A collaborative learning environment with practicing forensic scientists at the California Department of Justice Crime Laboratory located within the campus science complex.
