The Fresno State Advantage
A Personalized Experience
As a student in the forensic science program, you will have extensive contact with faculty both in and out of your class. The small faculty to student ratio allows us to offer small class sizes, often less than 10 students, and one-on-one interaction between research students and advisors. This allows us to understand your challenges and help you overcome them.
Keep Your Job and Complete Your Degree
Many student choose to work in existing laboratory jobs or as teaching assistants for the biology or chemistry departments. Offering all of the program’s core courses after 6pm makes the degree possible for many of these students.
A Real World Experience
The Professional Science Master’s Degree is an application focused degree taught by faculty with years of experience working forensic cases in operating crime laboratories. Their experience brings the real world of forensic science into the classroom to help you prepare for your career.
An Affordable Degree
Relatively affordable tuition and fees, a variety of scholarships and financial aid, and high quality instruction make the forensic science program one of the best values in forensic graduate education in the country.
A Track Record of Success
For more than 50 years the Fresno State College of Science and Mathematics has been training future forensic scientists! Our graduates’ successes in crime laboratory positions speak for themselves.
