You Can Afford It!
Relatively low graduate tuition and fees, relatively low cost of living for California, teaching assistantships, scholarships, and financial aid make a forensic science education at Fresno State affordable and accessible for many students.
Teaching Assistantships
Financial support for qualified graduate students is available in the form of Graduate Teaching Assistantship. Each teaching assistant spends approximately 20 hours per week during the semester with duties related to general chemistry laboratory work (9 contact hours per week). These assistantships generally pay approximately $10,000 per academic year (over $800 monthly). Students interested in applying for a teaching assistantship will need to file a separate application for the TA position. Interested students should contact the Chemistry Department at 559.278.4223 or the Biology Department at 559.278.2001 for up to date information.
