All students admitted to the Professional Science Master's Degree Program in Forensic Science must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a forensic or natural science (or have its equivalent coursework in a relevant field) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. An acceptable degree must contain, at a minimum, the following prerequisite coursework (CSU Fresno equivalent courses are indicated below):
- At least 1 course in Biology with Lab (BIOL 1A)
- At least 2 courses in General Chemistry with Lab (CHEM 1A/B)
- At least 2 courses in Organic Chemistry with Lab (CHEM 128A/B, CHEM 129A/B)
