Biosketch

Dr. Calvarese joined the department in 2000 and is an Associate Professor.  Her specialty areas are medical, urban and cultural geography.  She has done extensive fieldwork in East Africa and East Asia researching diffusion patterns of Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.  Her current research focuses on global interpretations of wellness and holistic health.
