Welcome Happy student graduating
Graduate students are a dynamic part of California State University, Fresno. We offer graduate degrees in a great breadth of fields—45 master's and two doctoral at present. Programs are offered in the traditional scholarly fields of the arts and humanities and in the sciences. We also offer a number of programs specifically geared for those in professional, practice-oriented careers—everything from education and business to health and the social sciences.

GRADUATE STUDENT RECOGNITION WEEK, APRIL 21-25, 2008

HOODING CEREMONY
The 2008 Graduate Degree Hooding Ceremony will be held Friday evening, May 16, in the Save Mart Center.

ADMISSION APPLICATION PERIODS
The application period for Fall 2008 is now closed. Spring 2009 admission applications will be accepted starting August 1. View our Admissions section for additional information. Apply online via CSUMentor.edu. Some programs have deadlines earlier than the university's. Check the individual program's Quick Facts page in the Graduate Programs section or the Criteria sheets for deadline details.

FINANCIAL AID AND OTHER OPPORTUNITIES FOR CURRENT GRADUATE STUDENTS
The Division of Graduate Studies offers a number of financial opportunities for new and continuing graduate students.
Students presenting their work at professional conferences or meetings will have some of their expenses paid for (see Travel Grants).

NEW DOCTORAL DEGREES
The independent Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, the DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy (both starting Fall 2007) and the Ph.D in Forensic and Behavioral Sciences (tentatively accepting students for Fall 2008), a joint program with UC Davis. Click the degree names for more information.

DID YOU RECEIVE YOUR COPY IN THE MAIL?
All new master's degree students enrolled for Fall 2007 should have received a copy of the guidebook, Chart Your Course to a Master's Degree, in the mail this summer. If you are a new or continuing student and have not received a copy, please stop by the Division of Graduate Studies Office in Thomas Administration, Room 132 and pick one up. Our office hours are listed below.

Email correspondence from DGS
The Graduate Office will send periodic emails to students who have applied to graduate to keep them aware of upcoming deadlines. Be sure and check your university email account frequently during your graduation semester.
