Division of Graduate Studies

Graduate students are a dynamic part of California State University, Fresno. We offer graduate degrees in a great breadth of fields—45 master's and two doctoral at present. Programs are offered in the traditional scholarly fields of the arts and humanities and in the sciences. We also offer a number of programs specifically geared for those in professional, practice-oriented careers—everything from education and business to health and the social sciences.

HOODING CEREMONY: The 2009 Graduate Degree Hooding Ceremony was held May 22 in the Save Mart Center.
The ceremony is available on iTunesU. Follow this link: <https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/BrowsePrivately/csufresno.edu.2135614281>, then select the "Masters Hooding" tab. The ceremony is in four parts, with file sizes between 244MB and 419MB.

FALL 2009 ADMISSION APPLICATION PERIOD: The Fall 2009 admission application deadline was April 1.
The Spring 2010 admission application period will open August 1st, and will close (subject to change) September 30 .
View our Admissions section for additional information. Apply online via CSUMentor.edu. Some programs have deadlines earlier than the university's. Check the individual program's Quick Facts page in the Graduate Programs section or the Criteria sheets for deadline details.
FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITIES: There is some money that can help graduate students. Click below or contact Louise Neal in the DGS office (lneal@csufresno.edu or 278-2448) for more information.
The Travel Grant, which pays for expenses for graduate students to present papers or posters at meetings or conferences. Deadline is two weeks before the trip.
