Message From the Dean
One of the special strengths of California State University, Fresno's Division of Graduate Studies is our tradition of investing in the faculty-student working relationship. In an effort to ensure that this tradition includes those who may have come to us from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, we offer the California Graduate Equity Fellowship Program. This program provides stipends for financially needy students to help accelerate completion of their graduate degree, provide professional, faculty-mentored opportunities and an improved capacity to pursue doctoral level work.
This program is demanding, yet it provides selected fellows with unique opportunities to work with faculty members and gain new awareness for gaining professional access to higher education careers. Both faculty members and students actively pursue participation in this type of collegial and professional regarding relationship.
I would personally encourage eligible students and interested faculty members to consider participating in this program.
Karen Carey, Dean
