2004 DEANS' GRADUATE
MEDALIST Victoria Malko, a native of Ukraine, completes her second M.A. degree with a 4.0 GPA. Her first was a M.A. in Linguistics completed at Fresno State in May 1997. Victoria speaks German, Polish and Russian and has translated several research papers from English to Russian and German. She will continue her studies at Fresno State in the Joint Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership. She presented a paper on “Russia’s War in Chechnya” at the annual Western Social Science Association Conference in Las Vegas in April. Victoria also won the Outstanding Thesis Award this year.
