2002 HOODING CEREMONY: Class of 2002 Dean's Graduate Medalists

Congratulations! RODNEY OLSEN 2002 Dean's Graduate Medalist College of Science and Mathematics

COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS Rodney G. Olsen, Jr., M.S., Biology Rodney G. Olsen, Jr. completed his M.S. in Biology in fall 2001 and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. He helped build and maintain Web pages for the Biology Department, volunteered many hours to tutor students and has participated in the renewal and upgrade of the learning environment for biology students. He is an expert in the natural history of the San Joaquin Valley and has volunteered time and expertise with the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust, the Foothill Conservancy, Audubon Society, and Nature Conservancy, plus community groups like Stone Soup. He has participated in efforts to build on an inter-institutional association of conservation ecologist working in the Central Valley and is a successful teaching assistant at Fresno State.
