Dr. Gillisann Harootunian
Director of Sponsored Programs
Dr. Harootunian formerly served as the Director of Academic and Government Grants at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. She also teaches professional writing as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland-University College. Previously, she was the U.S. Project Director for a U.S. Department of State grant for a three-year educational exchange project between Syracuse University and Yerevan State Linguistic University, Armenia, and she also served as a Fullbright Senior Lecturer/Researcher at Yerevan State Linguistic University.
Dr. Harootunian is a Certified Research Administrator and an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), where she has presented at both national and regional conferences and participated in NCURA's Working Group developing the new International Research Management Fellowship Program.
Dr. Harootunian received her Ph.D. from The Graduate School and University Center in New York, and her master's degree from the City College of New York. Her publications and research interests are in the field of professional writing.
