Fall 2009 Wellness Fair - November 18th

Fresno State’s fall 2009 Wellness Fair will take place Wednesday November 18th from 11:00 am to 2:00pm in the University Dining Hall. This event will feature interactive booth presentations by students and student organizations on topics such as health, nutrition, exercise and wellness. Admission is free. As with past events there will be prize giveaways and stamped proof of attendance forms for students offered extra credit.

Recruiting for Wellness Ambassadors NOW!

Now in its fourth year, this program is designed to give students an entry level experience with planning and implementing health promotion and wellness programs for their fellow students.  The health promotion and wellness topics addressed include cold & flu prevention, healthy eating, depression & anxiety prevention, safer sex, smoking cessation, healthy sleep tips and alcohol safety.  Students from all majors are welcome to apply to the program that recruits at the end of each semester.  Click here for the Wellness Ambassador Description & Application. Family PACT is Now Here!

Planning - Access - Care - Treatment

The Family PACT program provides CONFIDENTIAL family planning services to women and men who meet the eligibility criteria (PDF). FREE family planning services include:

  • Birth control methods and supplies (ex. condoms, pills, etc)
  • Reproductive health assessments and exams by health care providers
  • Prevention & treatment of sexually transmitted infections
  • Individual education and counseling from trained Peer Health Educators

To determine your eligibility and enroll, please call the Student Health Center to schedule an appointment or take advantage of our walk-in hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
