Women's Health and Preventative Care

Recognizing the unique health concerns of the female student, the Student Health Center makes the following services available in an atmosphere which respects a woman's privacy concerns.

• Well-woman annual examinations, including Pap smears
• Diagnosis and treatment of infections and other problems
• Prescription contraceptives: birth control pills, depo-provera (the 3-month shot), and diaphragm fitting
• Pregnancy testing and counseling
• Emergency contraception
• Medical staff who are glad to discuss any of these topics with you
• Colposcopy and cryotherapy, to follow-up abnormal Pap smear results
• Sexual Assault Checklist
• Domestic Violence Checklist

Annual examinations are done by appointment. To schedule an appointment, call (559) 278-2734. Acute problems may be seen on a walk-in basis, during regular hours.
