Public Recognition
Everyone wishes to be recognized for their accomplishments. One of the main benefits offered by the chapter is the opportunity to be publicly recognized for outstanding performance as a student, for outstanding contributions to the university and its community, for improving the academic excellence of the university, for supporting university and community programs through volunteer activities and for outstanding service the the Society, among other things. Listed below are many categories of recognition offered by the chapter.

Recognition of Phi Kappa Phi Members in the annual California State University, Fresno Commencement Program
All Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 062 graduating members are recognized in the university’s commencement program by a symbol placed by their name.

Chapter 062 also inserts a short description of Phi Kappa Phi Scholars which briefly describes the criteria for membership and the medallion the students and faculty wear on their academic regalia.

At California State University, Fresno, Phi Kappa Phi members are the only students recognized as scholars, besides the University’s Rodman scholarship program recipients, and the only students, besides the Dean’s Medallists and those receiving honor recognition as cum laude, magna cum laude, summa cum laude or "with distinction", who are specifically indicated in the commencement program.
