Instructor's Training Schedule
Note: These courses are for CATC-SC instructor's training or those who want to become a certified Cisco Academy instructor for these classes.
Registration for Class
Please register by Wednesday prior to the first day of class. If there is less than 3 students registered for the class, the class will be cancelled and will be announced on or shortly before the first day of class meeting.
To register for the Cisco Instructor's training classes, you must have an account at http://cisco.netacad.net. Click on "Personal Account" and then register by clicking on "Register for Sponsored Curriculum Training." For more information, please visit Cisco Netacad's How to Get Started.
Course Fees
For non-credit, cost of each training course is the following:

Include the instructor's name and the name of the classes you registered. Please call in advance at (559) 278-2145 prior to the first day of class to confirm if class is on schedule.
If you wish to obtain academic credits for the training classes, please contact the Division of Extended Education at (559) 278-0333 and sign up for IT 190 Independent Studies (3 units, undergraduate level) or IT 290 (3 units, graduate level). These units can be applied towards the Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Technology. The cost is $120 per unit, in addition to the non-credit training cost. For example:
Training cost for the 6 days of Web Design class:
Non-credit class cost: $690
With 3 units of credits: $690 + $360 = $1050
Training cost for the 5 days of Voice and Data Cabling class:
Non-credit class cost: $575
With 3 units of credit: $575 + $360 = $935
Refund of Fees
Your check will not be cashed until after the first day of class meeting. If the class is cancelled, your check and registration material will be sent back to you without cashing the check.
Lodging
If you need lodging during training, here are some suggestions:
- The two closest, walking-distance hotels/motels to Fresno State are:
- Piccadilly Inn University (on Cedar near the southwest corner of Shaw and Cedar)
- University Inn (on Shaw and between Woodrow and N. Chestnut)
- Use the Yahoo Yellow Pages to search your desired hotel and restaurant destinations.
