Scholarship Application Form Online
Fresno State's scholarship application form for 2002-2003 will be on-line beginning October 19 through January 5, 2002. Students can apply for hundreds of institutional scholarships by simply logging on to our web site at http://studentaffairs.csufresno.edu/scholarships during the application period; clicking on "Scholarship Application;" completing each item as directed on the screen and clicking "Submit."
Applications will then be electronically accessed and reviewed by various selection committees according to the student's qualifications, and students will receive notification of scholarship awards for the 2002-2003 academic year beginning in March of next year.

IT Dept Approved As Sun Authorized Educational Center
The Department of IT has been approved as a Sun Authorized Educational Center and will be offering Java and Solaris Administration classes in the curriculum.

The "Parties for the Parkway" given by the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust and hosted by Dr. Tony Au, our Department Chair, will take place in the Robotics Lab, room IT122 today.

Spend an exciting evening with the King of Robots, Professor Gary Paglierani, and learn everything you ever wanted to know about the world of robots. Take a step into the future in this state-of-the-art Robotics Lab at CSUF. Enjoy a futuristic dinner with Darlene Young's down-to-earth gourmet recipes. More Cisco Classes Being Offered Soon
Congratulations to the IT Dept! The department has been approved by Cisco to teach:
- Fundamentals of Unix and Fundamentals of Web Design training of instructors starting June 15, 2001; the classes will be offered to students at a later date (stay tuned for more info later); and
- Routers and Internetworking I & II(Semesters 5 and 6, and Semesters 7 and 8, respectively, of the CCNP program), pending on approval by CSUF.
Two More Webcams Deployed and Pictures of Robotics Class Posted
Two new webcams are deployed in the Advanced Materials Lab. One webcam takes continuous pictures of the area near the electron microscope. The other webcam takes snapshots of a sample in the electron microscope whenever someone clicks a "snapshot" button on the webcam software.
Photos and Mpeg movies of the IT 134 Industrial Robotics class are posted.

Cisco CCNA Curriculum Offered
Cisco CCNA curriculum is being offered in Spring and Fall 2001 as IT158 Computer Networking I, and Fall 2001 as IT163 Computer Networking II. Check out the pictures of IT 158 students in action from the Fall Semester 2000.
