Important Information Regarding Spring 2003 Registration

November 14, 2002

There are two classes in the Spring 2003 Schedule of Courses with the room designation "OFF CAMPUS": IT 102 Sections 15 & 16 (Class Numbers 17593 and 50237, M 6:00 PM - 7:50, 8:00 - 9:50), and IT 148 Sections 5 & 7 (Class Numbers 50239 and 50134, W 6:00 PM-7:50, 8:00-9:50). Please note that these two OFF CAMPUS courses are being offered for an off-site program in Camarillo, CA, which is 5 hours south of Fresno. Unless you are an Oxnard-Camarillo Center IT student, please do not register for these two classes. If you have already registered for one of the above classes, please drop the class and register for a different section (unless you intend to take classes in Camarillo). We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.


IT Course Schedule Update

November 6, 2002

Students can now register for IT 198W - Technical Writing, Section 01, Class No. 17765. Meets TTH 10:00 AM-11:15 AM in IT Room 304. Students can access the updated Schedule of Courses online at the login page of http://my.csufresno.edu. Updated printouts of the Schedule of Courses can also be picked up in the IT Department Office.


Web Recognition for Dr. Gray Grannis

October 31, 2002

Dr. Gary Grannis of Fresno State University passed away on August 20, 2002 from brain cancer. Dr. Grannis's family have setup a "Dr. Gary Grannis Scholarship Fund". If anyone would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, please contact Alcidia Gomes at the AG One office.

Register Early for Next Semester!

October 27, 2002

Please register early for classes for Spring 2003. The budget is tight this year, and classes with low enrollment figures BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS will be CANCELED. Registration fees are due December 9. We need to have 15 students minimum to offer a class. Check this webpage for frequently for important announcements.

**If you have fee payment concerns, please consider paying by an installment plan. See details on p. 13 of the Spring 2003 Schedule of Courses. If possible, do not postpone registering for classes.

Science and Technology Career Fair on Oct. 25 at USU

Career Services, the College of Engineering & Computer Science, and the College of Science & Mathematics are co-sponsoring a Science and Technology Career Fair from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union on Friday, October 25, 2002. Representatives from Science and Engineering organizations will be available to discuss internship and career information. A number of Industrial Technology only positions will be available.

Cisco Instructor Training Schedule Updated

The schedule has been updated with new training courses including the IT Essentials I Fast Track which is a one-day training.


IT 191T Fundamentals of Unix Cancelled

August 28, 2002

Only six students showed up for the IT 191 course last Friday. Because of the low enrollment, the course had to be cancelled. If you are interested in taking Unix, please check the Schedule of Courses for future listing.
