Drop Cards - Serious & Compelling Reason
From the Dean's office...
"The last day to drop a class without a serious and compelling reason was Friday, September 3. As of today, students will need to have a serious and compelling reason to drop a class. Serious and Compelling Reason cards may be obtained at the public contact window in Joyal Administration.
Dr. Fasse will give a one-week reprieve (September 7-10) where the student will not be required to have a letter or statement from a professional on the reason for withdrawing from the class. Once the student obtains the department chair's signature, please instruct them to proceed to the Dean's Office for Dr. Fasse's signature. He will meet with them briefly and send them on their way.
Beginning on Monday, September 13 a student will need a letter or statement from a professional as to the reason why they are dropping the class along with their signed drop card. Angela will make the appointment for the student to see Dr. Fasse. Please mention to the student that our office will require the letter or statement before Dr. Fasse will sign the drop card. So if they don't have one...they will need one prior to coming to our office.
We will more than happy to answer any student inquiries about this procedure. Your assistance with this matter is greatly appreciated."
