Login Errors:
PROBLEM:
Login Error
: Your User ID and/or Password are
invalid.
SOLUTION:
First, test your
California State University Fresno
username and password
at http://email.csufresno.edu.
If
you have forgotten your username or password,
you will need to call
the Help Desk to have it reset for you.
If your password is working at http://email.csufresno.edu,
you will need to try your username and password
again My
Fresno State Portal. If you are still
getting the same error you may want to clear
your history and temporary files and
try again.
If you are still unable to login, you will
need to contact
the Help Desk with the text error message
PROBLEM:
Login Error : User ID and Password are required
SOLUTION:
You must use your
California State University Fresno
username and password
to log into My
Fresno State Portal. If you are unsure
of your username and password test your
California State University Fresno
username and password at http://email.csufresno.edu.

PROBLEM:
Login Error: bea.jolt.ApplicationException:
TPESVCFAIL - application level service failure
SOLUTION:
The database server maybe down. Please check
the Help Center home page
for a Hot News status report.
If the
report
doesn't indicate that the database is down,
you may want to clear
your history and temporary files and
try to log into My
Fresno State Portal again.
If you are still unable to login, you will
need to contact
the Help Desk with the text error message
for troubleshooting.
PROBLEM:
Information for AOL and CompuServe users
SOLUTION:
There have been several AOL / Compuserv / MSN users that
have reported issues with
California State University Fresno
email and My Fresno
State Portal.
The suggestions that seem to work are:
- Do Not use the AOL Browser. Use the appropriate
version of Internet Explorer .
- Sometimes you may need to disconnect and
reconnect again to AOL.
- If the Hot News Status report
doesn't indicate that the database is down,
you may want to clear
your history and temporary files and
try to log into My
Fresno State Portal again.
PROBLEM:
What type of browser should I use?
SOLUTION:
PC's Internet Explorer
5.5 or 6.0 or Netscape
6.2.3.
Mac's: Internet Explorer
5.1 or Netscape 6.2.3.
There have been several AOL users that have reported problems with
e-mail and my.csufresno.edu.
The suggestions that seem to work are:
1. Do Not use the AOL Browser. Use the latest version of Internet
Explorer.
2. Sometimes you may need to disconnect and reconnect again to AOL.
Another suggestion would be:
Go to the web site:
http://www.mozilla.org/
(Note: We have heard good things about this web site, but CVIP is
not responsible if something happens to your system.)
Download and install the latest version of Firefox. Try to login
using that browser.
PROBLEM:
Common solutions to errors, page cannot be displayed, all
I get is a blank page, error 500 Internal server error
and when I login to My Fresno State is a page that says
PeopleSoft 8.
SOLUTION:
First you will want to make sure you are
using the appropriate
version of Internet Explorer .
If the Hot News Status report

try to log into My
Fresno State Portal again.
