Brief Introductory Statement:
Since April 2009, Geoffrey Dervishian has been employed by Professor Kaan Kurtural as a Viticulture Research Technician for the Viticulture and Enology Research Center (VERC) and Department of Viticulture & Enology (DVE) at California State University, Fresno. Their research focuses on the effects of mechanical canopy management, crop load and irrigation stress on yield and fruit quality in San Joaquin Valley vineyards. Prior to his employment at Fresno State, Geoffrey worked for Professor Andrew Walker and Professor David Smart at UC Davis, specializing in vine physiology and grapevine breeding for disease resistance. Geoffrey also received his bachelor's degree in history from UC Davis.
